About the job

We are seeking an experienced, driven, and collaborative Mid Level or Senior Accountant to join our team. As the Accounting professional, based in Houston, you will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities

• Manage and is a responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card reconciliations, and reimbursements process
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
• Oversee and manage bi-monthly payroll processing for U.S. and Europe
• Prepare documentation for External Auditors
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CFO if necessary
• Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the CFO in running audits
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Manage AR and AP process
• Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with accounting software and data entry
• Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets (Google Suite)
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent analytical skills
• Comfortable working in hybrid work place model – coming into the office 3 days a week and as needed.
