Marketing Director

About the job

Reporting the CEO, the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and leading an effective marketing strategy and tactical plan that propels growth. You will work cross-functionally and manage a small team; collaborate and manage agencies to understand and prioritize marketing tactics. You will act as a company brand ambassador to external sources, drive revenue growth and facilitate sales growth along with customer retention through the successful execution of the marketing plan and strategic imperatives outlined by the company.

Candidates must have prior start-up experience coupled with the track record of an individual contributor that can also manage a team. Must directly contribute to help scale the company. Domain knowledge and experience in the SaaS energy/utilities global market is a requirement. Global knowledge and experience is a bonus. Understanding the retail energy space and the regulated utility market is also desired. Based in Houston, TX. Remote will be considered for a candidate that can fulfill all the above requirements.  Generous benefits and equity.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and tactical plans
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget to demonstrate investment / ROI
  • Manage all Activity Based Marketing Activities
  • Develop campaigns to drive the Sales pipeline
  • Project Manage all aspects of each initiative
  • Analyze and track performance marketing performance metrics
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients and partners

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Fluency in Google and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
