Summary
The Product Engineering Manager leads a team of software engineers operating on a number of agile scrum teams. He/ She will partner with the Product Management and Architectural team to define and interpret product requirements and technical designs and drive the corresponding development and release to production via the sprint process
Responsibilities
- Hire, train and retain teams of passionate, skilled and effective Software Engineers from a variety of disciplines
- Set and manage to clear goals and objectives for all team members
- Work with team members to define, develop and implement their individual development plans that align with both their career aspirations and Innowatts business objectives
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the scrum teams
- Drive adherence to Innowatts SDLC and coding standards
- Ensure delivery of products and components to the agreed quality, time and cost
- Be a hands on technical leader, making a direct design and code contribution
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years + software development experience, with 3 years + people management
- Experience working with agile teams is essential and knowledge of the Scalable Agile Framework for enterprise (SAFe) would be an advantage
- Experience in regulated or deregulated retail energy space would be a distinct advantage
- Excellent communications skills, communicating complex issues to wide and varied audiences
- An expert listener
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Previous experience working with dispersed teams located globally
