The Role:

A Business Development Representative works as the tip of the spear producing and driving business opportunities for the company. BDR’s  are in charge of generating new client business relationships through networking and follow up on leads, recommendations, social media, or other connection mechanisms. Opportunities are then seamlessly transitioned to the appropriate Sales leader to initiate the sales process through contrat close. The BDR will be a key team member in design and implement strategies for new client acquisition, utilizing Innowatts go-to market strategy and value propositions across energy providers (utilities and retail energy providers)  Advancement into a field sales roles are a  common transition with the opportunity to advance further to sales leadership positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Reaching out to and qualifying leads through outbound calling, email, and social media
  • Maintaining and growing both existing and new leads and contacts at target customers
  • Meeting and exceeding lead development quotas
  • Assisting in preparing commercial and pricing documents
  • Providing prompt and accurate responses to all customers
  • Promoting Innowatts products and services

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or related Sales experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales or Marketing position
  • Experience with CRM software, Hubspot preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deliver results
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities and to develop and implement effective sales strategies
